Nursing Quiz Game app for iPhone and iPad

Written and designed by a doctor and a nurse.

PhlashcardsRN is a fun and intuitive way to learn or brush up on your medical knowledge. This version is most suitable for either nursing students or practicing nurses with over 500 questions and explanations. Some of the questions are quite difficult, but with the detailed explanations included and practice, your knowledge will soon grow exponentially!

The PhlashcardsRN app allows you select the number of questions and the time to answer each question. There is also a feature that allows you to set the maximum difficulty of each question set.

Then there are two selector wheels that allow you to set an additional two parameters: First selector wheel allows you to select the particular system that you want to concentrate on (Pharmacology, Medical Calculations, Normal Values, Medical Terms and Abbreviations, Hepatic, Renal, Cardiac, Anatomy, Endocrinology, Neurology). Alternatively, choose questions from all systems. The second selector wheel allows you to choose the status of the questions presented in the game (All, New questions only, New & Incorrect questions only or Previously answered incorrectly.

The sound effects can be turned on or off.

After your satisfied with your selections, you start a "game". The game will match your criteria entered selecting questions randomly from the database.

Challenge yourself; see how fast and how accurately you can answer the questions. Or, read through the detailed explanation as to why the answer was correct and to reinforce your learning (the timer stops while reading explanations).

After completing your session, a summary screen will be presented that will show you the percent correct and average time per question. Also, a calculation is performed to arrive at a ‘score’, which is based on the percent correct, time to answer and degree of difficulty. It is intended as a gauge of progress or to challenge yourself.

On the Help screen, there is an button that allows you to reset all the questions back to new.

New questions are continually added to the database and no Internet connection is required to play PhlashcardsRN once downloaded to your phone.
